Shipping within the United States
We use U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail for all deliveries. We find this offers the best price for deliveries with a speed of delivery that often beats both FedEx and UPS.
All shipments will include Delivery Confirmation. At the time of shipment we will send you an email including the Delivery Confirmation number. The local post office normally does not scan items it receives for shipment, so until the item is delivered to you it is likely that tracking information will only show that the postal service electronically received shipping information.
We ship items Monday through Saturday. If your purchase is not shipped within 24 hours of the time we receive your order, we will send you an email to let you know we have received your order and when it will be shipped, normally the first following day that the post office is open. If your payment is by echeck or other method that does not instantly clear, shipping will be delayed until after funds for your payment have been collected.
While most shipments by Priority Mail are delivered in 3 or 4 days, we have no control over the postal service's handling and, on rare occasions, it has taken up to 14 days for delivery of an item by Priority Mail, so if you will want a garment for a special event please place your order well in advance. If you absolutely must receive the item by a certain date, shipping by Express Mail is available at an additional charge. Contact us if you would like a quote of the charge for Express Mail.
Packaging
Most items will be sent in a Flat Rate Envelope, Flat Rate Box, or tyvek envelope. We use recyclable packing materials; even the tyvek envelopes and packing bags are recyclable number 2 plastic. For some international shipments we may use non-recyclable packaging if deemed necessary to protect the item. Some wrinkling in shipment is unavoidable and your items may need a little ironing touch-up when you receive them.
Shipping Rates
All orders ship to addresses within the United States for a flat rate of $5.00 per shipment regardless of the number, size, or weight of the items purchased.
International Shipping
Standard shipping will be by Priority Mail International at a cost of $13.00 per item. Delivery time will typically be 15 to 20 days from the time of shipping, but may be more than six weeks. Any charges imposed at the destination, such as customs duties or customs broker fee, are the responsibility of the person receiving the item. All international shipments will be shipped with insurance from a third party insurer. In the event an item is lost or damaged in delivery, to obtain a refund it will be necessary that you sign documents for us to submit to the insurance company. No claim for a non-delivered item can be accepted sooner than 45 days after the shipment (60 days in the case of shipments to Italy).
